Roulette Winner 2025
“What if, instead of fuelling the divide, we did the opposite and found a reason to unite?” Isla based her project on the divide between drivers and cyclists, seeking to unite these groups through a common frustration - Potholes - shifting the focus from blame to collective action.
Isla takes a contemporary approach to this problem, using a witty, direct and self-aware tone, to cut through frustration with humour and clarity. Red Flagged is inspired by the language of online dating and digital culture in a way that is relatable, human and “just a bit cheeky”, but has the ambition to improve road surfaces for all users.
