Harley Turner

De Montfort University
CDCT Grant Recipient 2022/23

Harley was nominated due to his Cam-do attitude – continuously pushing his studies and practice as a graphic designer, alongside his engagement with peers and was awarded £500 from The CDCT.

At the time of receiving The CDCT Grant in January 2023, Harley was a third year Graphic Design student studying at De Montfort University in Leicester.

‘Despite his shy character, Harley is always helpful around the studio, supporting students from both courses and different year groups with their work and enjoying the conversation and collaboration. Harley has developed a keen interest in innovative design practices such as VR and AR, which has influenced both his practical and theory based work. He is continuously researching and testing new ways of working, exploring materials and techniques. It has been inspiring to see Harley's journey and development over the past three years.’
William Wright, Joint Programme Leader

Harley plans to use the Grant to put towards an iPad, enabling him to design on the go, build his skills in augmented reality, and develop his confidence with ProCreate and Adobe Aero.
