Jasmine Whitelock

University of Northampton
CDCT Grant Recipient 2023/24

Jasmine was nominated by her tutors for a CDCT Grant for her Cam-do attitude — her dedication to her studies, thirst for knowledge & innovation, and respectful, caring nature made her a worthy recipient.

At the time of receiving The CDCT Grant in January 2024, Jasmine was a third year student studying Graphic Communication at the University of Northampton.

‘Jasmine has been a committed student throughout her studies with us and is showing no signs of slowing down in her final year. Jasmine has a quiet determination to push her work as far as she can and she has a natural ability to be experimental and divergent in her thinking and making. Jasmine is always attentive, responds very well to feedback and can make thematic and design decisions autonomously. Jasmine is forensic in her research and development, and is dependable and leading in group work.’
Trevor Brown, Programme Leader & James Smith, Senior Lecturer

Jasmine was delighted to be recognised with a £500 Grant from The CDCT and plans to use it to subscribe to more design magazines and journals in addition to allowing her to visit more exhibitions in London: ‘Being able to go to university to study graphic communication has been a dream and this has given me hope that I can achieve anything if I work hard, persevere and smile.’
