Kirsty Lemm

Nottingham Trent University
CDCT Grant Recipient 2022/23

Kirsty was nominated due to her commitment and enthusiasm to her studies, work ethic and her support to peers – all great Cam-do qualities. She was awarded £500 from The CDCT in January 2023.

At the time of receiving The CDCT Grant, Kirsty was a third year Graphic Design student studying at Nottingham Trent University.

‘From day one of her studies Kirsty has dedicated herself to her practice with great enthusiasm and has become a highly respected and valued member of our community. She works incredibly hard to develop and improve her work, she is curious and brave in her approach, she takes on the unfamiliar and seeks to explore and investigate new possibilities. In tutorials she is responsive to feedback from tutors and peers but also takes great care in offering supportive and thoughtful advice to her fellow students too. She volunteers for extra curricula activities and has recently participated in a collaborative project with creative writing students. Kirsty is also keen to advocate for her student community and is a rep for the course offering honest and reflective feedback to the course teaching team to support us in developing our programme for both current and future students.’
Kathryn Coates, Programme Leader

Kirsty hopes to use the Grant to allow her to push her final year projects to their utmost potential, using resources that she otherwise might not have been able to consider such as specialist papers, book binding equipment, high quality printing etc. She also plans to use the Grant to visit upcoming exhibitions in London to further develop her love of creativity.
