Genna’s idea was to use the starting statement to expand her software knowledge and increase her confidence in handling typography through creating poster-based responses decided by dice.

The die determined the composition, typographic style, colour and the prompts themselves, and over 20 days Genna produced 20 posters, documenting them in a book: Twenty Days of Type. The process was very much a creative journey, providing insight into creative resilience amongst other things.
